MLM Leads Help You Build Your MLM Business

MLM Leads are prospects that will help you build your MLM or Network Marketing business. These prospects can be either generated yourself or purchased. You can also build your business by contacting people that you know, also called your warm market, but most people don’t want to bother their friends so they look for other ways to build their business.

As mentioned above, you can generate prospects yourself, but this requires some knowledge of advertising, web page creation, copywriting, traffic generation, and to some extent programming. The less time consuming, less expensive, and easier solution is to buy MLM leads.

There are many kinds of MLM leads. They vary widely in quality and price, so the first thing you have to decide on is the type of leads that you want. There are many things to consider.

The first thing to consider when deciding on what kind of leads to purchase, is what information you want. The more information that a lead company gets from a prospect, the more it costs the company and therefore the higher the price of the lead. If you would like to know how much money a prospect has to invest, how much they want to make, and various other information about the prospect then you want surveyed leads. But, if you are happy with just their name, address, phone and email address, then you can save money by purchasing short form leads.

Another thing to consider when analyzing the quality of an MLM lead is its age. Real time leads are leads that are sent to you within a few seconds of when they are generated. This type of lead is far more valuable than a lead that was generated a week or even a month ago. Even leads that are 24 hours old are not as responsive as a lead that came to you in real time.

Telephone interviewed mlm leads seem to be popular these days. These are leads that are generally called by a call center and then if they are interested in a home based business, the lead is sent to you. There are a few problems with this type of lead however. First of all, the lead is not a real time lead. The call center has purchased a list of older leads and called them. Usually they purchase old surveyed leads, and just confirm the answers they gave earlier when they were searching for information on a home based business. So you get an older lead that is definitely not as interested in speaking with you as they were when they filled in the form requesting information in the first place. To make matters worse, the call center can “pad” the lead list they send you with people who really aren’t interested in talking with you at all. The quality of the telephone interviewed lead is basically left up to somebody sitting in a phone room trying to hit their quota for the day. A regular real time MLM lead is a far better investment.

The next choice you have is whether you want to buy leads anywhere in the world, or from one continent such as North America, or do you want leads only from one country, or do you want to purchase prospects from one or more local areas. Two popular choices are leads from either the US and Canada, or leads from specific area codes. If you ever want to meet face to face with your prospects then buying them in your local area code would be wise. These are called local leads. You may want to expand into a few other surrounding areas as well. Or, do you want to build your business nationally? Then you just have to choose if you want leads in either the US or Canada, or both.

Another type of lead that you will come across is the redirected lead. These are leads that fill in the information request form and are then immediately redirected to your web page. This type of MLM lead costs more since they are redirected, but if you have a great web page that you want to send them to so you can “presell” them, then you might want to pay the premium for redirected leads.

You should also be careful that you never buy MLM leads that are incentivized or over sold. An incentivized lead is someone who was promised a free product or chance to win a prize if they fill in the form. They really have no interest is talking to you. Generally a lead can be considered oversold, if it is sold to more than two other people in addition to your self. Oversold leads will be getting called too many times and so they will also have no interest in speaking with you.

MLM leads can be very helpful when you build your network marketing business. If you spend a bit of time figuring out what kind of leads would be best for you, and if you actually work the leads, then you are sure to benefit.
